For the upcoming October 2020 Online Conference, the Academy is pleased to release an extract from its Archives. This is a consideration by David Bohm about how we know anything.  It was originally recorded in 1985 in La Rippe, near Geneva, Switzerland in 1985 at a Weekend of Dialogue convened by Peter Garrett.  Thanks go to Helena Wagener (Cape Town, South Africa) for the transcription.  Funds are being sought to proceed with the transcription of further parts of the archive

Flux has been working with dialogue in Norwegian prisons since the autumn of 2015 and, prior to that, with the practical application of dialogue since 2009. The story, however, begins before that. These are private recordings of David Bohm made by Peter Garrett and Don Factor in 1990. It is an interesting historical record of the thinking that led to the three of them writing 'Dialogue - A Proposal'.  The theoretical roots of the Professional Dialogue now undertaken by the Academy are clearly evident, although the practice has developed substantially since that time.
