The PSAB is a working committee answerable to the Board of Trustees, with delegated responsibility for two main aspects of the Academy's work:

  • Determining and maintaining the criteria for professional accreditation, and appointing accreditors to recognize those participants who successfully complete the Academy's accreditation programmes.

  • Promoting and maintaining the ethos of the Academy and professional standards for Members and staff.

  • Reviewing concerns and resolving complaints related to professional standards and accreditation.

The Ethos of the Academy of Professional Dialogue

PROFESSIONAL DIALOGUE is an ethical and transparent practice of social inquiry

that both cultivates a collective awareness and understanding of the whole

and respects the individual by inviting them to make their unique contribution

for the well-being of the organization, community or society as a whole.
