Set 4 – Quality of Understanding
AofPD
This training module addresses the core practice of dialogue itself: inner experience, dynamics in the room, and the concept of container. Participants explore what dialogue practice actually involves and how practitioners can contribute to changing situations from within the process.
Set 4 in the Academy's training curriculum moves into the heart of dialogue practice. The module addresses fundamental questions that practitioners must engage with directly: What is the practice of dialogue? How do we attend to inner experience while also tracking dynamics in the room? What is meant by 'container' and how do we contribute to its quality? The culminating question; how do you change a situation from within?; points toward dialogue's transformative potential and the practitioner's role in supporting genuine change without controlling it. This module integrates theoretical understanding with experiential learning, inviting participants to examine their own practice and presence. It represents the Academy's approach to professional development: not merely teaching techniques but developing the quality of awareness and understanding that enables authentic dialogue facilitation. The training builds toward practitioners who can hold space for transformation while remaining fully present to what emerges.
