Lisa Stefanac is a dialogue practitioner and facilitator whose work focuses on the underlying assumptions and worldviews that govern how facilitation is conceived and conducted. In this session, she introduces the idea that facilitators operate from distinct paradigms — coherent but often unexamined belief systems about participation, authority, knowledge, and change — and that shifting outcomes often requires shifting the paradigm, not just the method. Stefanac maps the differences between these operating systems, helping practitioners recognise which one they are working from and what each makes possible or forecloses.
