Jane Ball is a dialogue practitioner and co-founder of the Academy of Professional Dialogue, whose work in criminal justice settings centres on the question of what it takes for someone to genuinely re-enter society rather than cycle back through it. The Offender Resettlement Journey is a facilitated process in which participants move through a structured re-enactment of their own legal and custodial experience, surfacing assumptions, emotions, and turning points that are rarely spoken aloud. Ball's approach draws on the conviction that dialogue can reach people at precisely the moments when institutions have given up on conversation.
