A Participative Webinar with Steven M. Rosen

Steven M. Rosen

"To see a photon, one must be a photon." Philosopher Steven M. Rosen has corresponded with David Bohm and written extensively on the Implicate Order. His topological phenomenology bridges quantum physics and consciousness in ways that illuminate dialogue's deeper dimensions.

Steven M. Rosen is Emeritus Professor of Psychology at the City University of New York and a philosopher of science whose work bridges phenomenology, Jungian psychology, topology, and physics. His books include 'The Self-Evolving Cosmos' and 'Science, Paradox, and the Moebius Principle', and he corresponded extensively with David Bohm about the Implicate Order. Rosen argues that quantum perception requires a new kind of observation: one where the observer adopts a self-reflexive posture bringing her into close ontological relationship with the observed. This parallels dialogue's demand that participants become aware of their own thought processes while engaging with others. In this participative webinar, cohosts Linda Ellinor and Nancy Dixon interview Rosen about his philosophical work. For practitioners seeking to understand dialogue's deeper philosophical foundations, particularly its connection to Bohm's physics and consciousness studies, Rosen offers a rigorous yet accessible perspective.
