A breakdown between the medical department and security staff had produced chronic conflicts: dental and medical appointments disrupted work schedules, the master pass list arrived inconsistently, and staffing gaps compounded the disorder. TyKeshae Fowlkes Tucker, Andrea D. Wilson and Karen Fleming document how, in December 2020, all security supervisors from every shift were brought physically together for the first time since the pandemic began, seated six feet apart in colour-coded chairs arranged so that each staff member faced a colleague from the opposite department.
