Generative Dialogue on Peacebuilding - 11th August 2022

Can dialogue do what diplomacy alone cannot? This session brings together practitioners to explore how generative dialogue contributes to peacebuilding in communities and societies where institutional mechanisms have stalled or fractured.

Recorded on 11th August 2022, this Academy session examines the role of generative dialogue in peacebuilding contexts, drawing on practitioner experience of working in divided or conflict-affected communities. The conversation moves beyond formal conflict resolution frameworks to consider how dialogue creates the conditions for sustained change at the community and societal level. Cohosts Nancy Dixon and Linda Ellinor guide participants through the session before small group reflection opens the themes to wider exploration. The recording speaks to the question of what dialogue can offer where structural and political processes fall short.
