Exploring conflict through a dialogic role play

Rebecca Cannara

Rebecca Cannara is a dialogue practitioner whose work focuses on making the hidden dynamics of workplace conflict visible and workable. In this session, she introduces dialogic role play as a method for exploring conflict in organisations, inviting participants to inhabit different positions within a live or simulated tension rather than simply discussing it at a remove. The approach draws on dialogue principles to help people move from defensive or entrenched stances toward genuine inquiry. In this participative webinar, cohosts Nancy Dixon and Linda Ellinor interview Cannara about her methods and their application before participants reflect in small groups on how the approach might speak to conflicts in their own contexts.
