The Dialogic Consideration sessions offer a recurring space within the AofPD community to pause and examine the principles that underpin dialogue work. This 3rd August 2023 instalment takes up the question practitioners encounter at every turn: what, precisely, is dialogue, and how does it differ from conversation, discussion, or debate? Sessions in this series typically bring together members at varying stages of practice, creating conditions where seasoned practitioners and those newer to the field can think alongside one another. The format encourages participants to surface assumptions they carry into their work and to test those assumptions against their own experience and against Bohmian foundations. For anyone beginning to orient themselves within the Academy's approach, or returning to first principles after time in the field, this session offers a grounded re-entry point.
