The Check-out module introduces participants to one of the most neglected moments in any dialogue session: the ending. Rather than allowing a session to trail off or close with a facilitator's summary, the Check-out invites each participant to name something they are carrying away — a thought, a shift, an unresolved question. The practice builds collective awareness of what the group has moved through together, and gives the closing moment the same quality of attention that the opening deserves. As the first module in Set 1 of the ADWOW programme, it establishes a discipline that runs through everything that follows: that every part of a dialogue, including the ending, is an act of practice.
