Dialogue – Where Everyone Learns and Nobody Teaches


We want to get to the heart of the distinction between learning and teaching that is the hall mark of dialogue. How different this is from the common cultural expectation to be taught anything of significance, or simply to look up the answer online. It is what makes dialogue so insightful – and engenders the sense of fellowship amongst those involved that is so enriching.


It is also the theme of the Academy’s eighth conference when we will be considering learning and development in organisational contexts for adults, young people and children. On one of the three days we will feature our research initiative The Dialogic Classroom led by Jane, with the opportunity to hear from some of the professionals who are directly involved in  Argentina, Iran South Africa and…
